Innate-Living-Intelligence
Exists in All Things
Is Ever Evolvong
Contrary to Human Belief, Does Not Orbit around the Human Phenomena
Is Deeply Interconnected

Re-establishing our union with all life.
Most of us live in a deeply disconnected relational field. We are disconnected from and oblivious to, what trillions of other life forms are innately a part of. Life - ecological, biological and evolutionary realities, that humans live in almost entire subjugation of (not to), is occurring to us while we literally make other plans. We believe that we can exist outside of critical tenets of life, but it is painfully obvious when observed without prejudice, that we cannot. Not only that, but in our arrogance and feeble attempts, we are wreaking havoc on the remaining lifeforms and all that sustain them.
For me the work of weaving back in with life occurs in all the tangible spheres in my life. Across the Life-span. It happens on a private and personal level with my thoughts, my body, my intimate relationships, my children and family.. it happens on a community level with my friends, wider family and community circles. It looks like home birth, breastfeeding, slow parenting and living, self education. It looks like contributing to community building and caring.
It is a continuing, blushing commitment to returning to myself, the one that has no labels, while also championing the parts of me (the ones with labels) that honour and respect life and it’s innate-living intelligence, all the while - respectfully letting go of dogma and human-centric violence within, that does not.
Reestablishing a symbiotic relationship with the rest of life requires us to first reconnect and empower our own innate-living-intelligence. As a complex-living-organism that has been in evolution for billions of years, a rich and deeply intelligent knowing already lives within us. While on a collective scale it is likely going to take our species many generations, if not thousands of years to reset our trajectory from ‘destructive’ to ‘part-of’, all the most meaningful work will occur on a personal, familial and communal level as we build meaningful, respectful, sustainable communities.

While sometimes these ideals can feel lofty, they play out as an embodied practice created inside intentional, unapologetic, compassionate and realistic living that I partake in as an individual and as a mother and as a connected member of community, with recognition that meaningful change is weaving over many generations.
We as individuals only form some of the stitching in a wider collective story of our species. How we act today, influences the overall narrative. We cannot fix it all. We can barely fix any of it, alone. We can and must strive towards, doing what is possible for us in this moment, while we hold the bigger picture as a beacon, with a clear and sustained realisation that we only see part of the picture, and that is ok.
How this work is offered in my community changes as I grow and evolve. Over the years there have been many iterations such as advocacy and activism, community care during regular needs and during crisis, collaborations, initiatives from the smallest action to the ones that take shape over years. I have often narrowed my lens to work with women and childbirth as this is where I see most of the harm our species experiences, can be prevented, or at the very least, attenuated. Most importantly, the work has been the millions of micro-movements of care weaving towards re-connection.
One key takeaway from my work is that one cannot expect to draw fruits from a tree, without caring for the tree, the soil and all else that grows around it. And spending any more time than necessary in pointing out a rotten piece of fruit or breaking branch, without thinking of the many ways in which I can personally enrich the soil through care, is futile.
